PHILOSOPHY DISTANCE EDUCATION

Education at present is a very costly commodity. In the present scenario lots of youngsters who pass out of 10th Standard/ 10+2/ Diploma or any graduation would knock at the employer’s doors for want of opportunity / finance for higher studies. At the present juncture new opportunities like BPO, finance, banking, health care support services, call centers attract lot of youngsters without having higher education. However, after sometime, being stagnant at that stage only for want of opportunities for higher learning there is always a craving for higher education.

At that time however, they will have to earn and learn. It is at this juncture distance education will be of great help and especially qualifying for higher education in Technology, Management, Hospitality and other allied programmes.It is known that there are not many institutions/schools, which cater to this class. Hardly, we find technical, management and hospitality institutions leading to UG / PG degrees at that stage. Distance education will be a boon for these employees who want to qualify higher at a reasonable cost. KSOU and SVT together are venturing to do just that
